Our members come to our gym for a number of reasons. They want to lose fat. They hope to gain muscle mass. They want to ready themselves for the summer season. They want to train for a specific sport. But, ultimately, they want to live longer, happier and healthier lives. In our experience we have found that no two members are alike.

About a year ago I reached my all time high of 210 pounds and I have thought that day would come. I remember sitting in my room crying and wondering how did I get myself to this point ? I knew I needed to change so I started trying to eat better but that gradually stopped working and I got back into my habits. Eventually down the road I got introduced to CrossFit. I knew a lot of people who did it and I always thought the people were crazy and how do you do all that crazy stuff and pay all that money? I tried working out on my own but that never worked. Eventually I was like you know what? Maybe I should try and see what this CrossFit thing is all about. I went one night talked too this Eric Stratman and you can tell he was full of energy and excitement for me and he didn’t even know me yet. Now almost a year later the only thing I wanna talk about and broadcast is how CrossFit has changed my life. It got me to reach my goal into a pre employment police academy and it has made me feel so much more better and honestly helped me emotionally with stress and such. There is no price tag to your health in life and I would be that same person as they were telling me all the great things about CrossFit. It has changed my life and it has become a addiction. Sometimes I may fall off the pattern in going but this is some hobby you will never let go no matter how hard you don’t wanna go workout, somehow you end up there working hard!

I’ve always tried to stay reasonably fit, watching what I eat and “working out” a bit in my basement. But I realized last year that as I approach the age of 60, I was feeling less fit, with less energy and my clothes were getting uncomfortably tight. My mostly sedentary professional life didn’t help.
For recreation, I ride a race motorcycle at various race tracks and the it was getting tougher to wrestle that machine through the corners, let alone loading and unloading it into the transport trailer. I also have a teenage daughter to help keep me active but it was getting tougher to keep up with her.
In January 2018 I came across the CrossFit Exult 6-week Challenge and decided to look into it. I had of course heard of CrossFit, but was only vaguely aware of the programming, and totally unaware of CrossFit’s foundations of functional fitness and nutrition. I met with affiliate owner Eric Stratman, who is a force of nature with his enthusiasm and encouragement. I was sold, signed up on the spot, and started the Challenge during the first week in February. The “after” photo you see of me was taken 6 months later.
Yes, in just 6 months, I had lost 20 total lbs of weight, while gaining at least 5 pounds of lean muscle mass, reducing my mid-section circumference by 10 inches! My body fat percentage has dropped from over 25% to 15%. Nearly 11 months in, I continue to progress and I am stronger, faster, and have more endurance than I’ve had in over 35 years. Yes, the workouts themselves have obviously played an important part of this fitness journey, but it’s the nutritional guidance and the community of support I found at CrossFit Exult that are the major contributions to my success so far. It’s inspiring to see my fellow participants achieve their goals and humbling when they recognize my own. The coaches are patient, encouraging, and instructive, pushing participants to be their personal best, but also guide us with safe body-mechanics, warm-ups, stretches and cool downs.
I personally could never have achieved my results alone in my basement. It’s never too late and you’re never too old to become a better version of you. If you’re ready to make a change in your life, I highly recommend CrossFit Exult to help you in your journey, just as they have helped me in mine.

I have struggled with weight my entire life. After having my first child in 2009, the weight just kept piling on. Two years later I found in home workouts, and dropped 75lbs. As the years went on and two pregnancies later my weight continued to rise and fall as I tried to keep up with health and fitness and raise three beautiful daughters. When I realized my motivation was slacking and I needed something else to push myself, a friend suggested CrossFit. I never thought I could physically do any of the workouts, boy was I wrong! It’s been the best decision I’ve made, not only for fitness, but the community is amazing! I am in the best shape I’ve ever been, I feel great about my body and going to the gym is something I always look forward to! I’ve dropped over 35lbs, and lost many inches, but I’ve also gained muscle & self confidence, as well as watched my strength increase. CrossFit has changed my life!
I’ve been attending classes at Crossfit Exult for about 4 months now and its been one of the best times of my life. I am easily in the best shape of my life thanks to everyone there. They have assisted me in every step of the process. I feel like i can talk to anyone at the gym about my questions such as, meal planning and how to recover from the workouts. I truly enjoy going to classes because of the support from coaches and the other athletes that i now call my friends. I look forward to going to the gym every day.–
